Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Alwyn Ventures LLC ("Cazavera," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Cazavera application and website at cazavera.com (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use Cazavera. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

Cazavera is a property management and rental finance tool designed to help self-managing landlords track income, expenses, maintenance, tenants, and produce year-end financial summaries.

Cazavera is not a financial advisor, accountant, or legal advisor. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional tax, accounting, legal, or investment advice. You should consult qualified professionals for those matters. Any reports, statements, or calculations produced by Cazavera are for your personal organizational use and should be reviewed by a licensed professional before relying on them for tax filings or legal purposes.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Cazavera account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at support@cazavera.com.

You may not share your account credentials with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their consent. You may invite household members or advisors using the built-in sharing feature.

Cazavera is offered on two paid plans:

• Starter — $9.99/month: 1 property, includes a 3-month free trial with no credit card required upfront.
• Pro — $19.99/month: Unlimited properties, includes a 3-month free trial with no credit card required upfront.

Subscriptions are currently available through the Cazavera website at cazavera.com. In-app subscription options through Apple or Google may be made available in the future.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice. Price changes will not apply until the notice period has elapsed.

Cazavera uses AI technology (Anthropic's Claude) to power receipt scanning, appliance identification, paint color recognition, and business card capture. These features are designed to save you time but may not always produce perfectly accurate results.

You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all AI-extracted data before saving it to your account. Cazavera is not liable for errors in AI-extracted information or for decisions made based on that information.

Cazavera does not train its own AI models on user data. Content submitted through AI-powered scanning features is processed via Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic's handling of that data is governed by Anthropic's own Privacy Policy and Data Processing terms at anthropic.com. Cazavera is not responsible for Anthropic's data practices.

You agree not to use Cazavera to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent financial information with the intent to deceive a third party (such as a lender or government authority)
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service
• Use the Service in a way that interferes with its normal operation or imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our consent

By using the Service, you grant Alwyn Ventures LLC an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, process, display, copy, distribute, analyze, modify, sublicense, and create derivative works from the data and content you submit, for any purpose related to operating, improving, growing, or commercializing the Service, including analytics, partnerships, and data sale.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into Cazavera.

You can export your data at any time using the Reports section. To delete your account and your data, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account inside the app. Upon confirmed deletion, we will automatically delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

We aim to keep Cazavera available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience outages. We will try to give advance notice for planned downtime.

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. For material changes that reduce core functionality, we will provide at least 14 days' notice.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, Alwyn Ventures LLC and its owners, officers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alwyn Ventures LLC and its officers, agents, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.

Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at support@cazavera.com and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Your continued use of Cazavera after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
